BLACK EYE BEANS
Black-eyed beans or peas are small, cream coloured bean with a black mark “the eye” where they were joined to the pod. They are often found in African and American cuisine. They are often seen as symbol of good luck and are considered a traditional course to have on New Year’s Day, especially in the southern United States.
