Organic Brown Linseed

Organic Brown Linseed

Linseeds are a natural source of essential fatty acids including omega-3 and omega-6. They are brown in colour and have a mild nutty flavour.

Served Best

Linseeds are often added to breakfast cereal either in their whole state or ground into a meal.

How To Cook

Add to baked foods such as bread, or sprinkle on cereals.  Can also be used to make a ‘flax egg’ for vegan baking - grind seeds and mix with water.

This tiny seed is a powerhouse of nutrition and a fantastic form of insoluble fibre, particularly effective at cholesterol regulation and hormone balancing. Linseeds are a rich source of healthy fat and antioxidants. The seeds contain protein, lignans, and the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid, also known as ALA or omega-3. The nutrients in linseeds may help lower the risk of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.
